"I found the Wynwood Art Fair to be an exceptionally fun and enthusiastic gathering of all the diverse institutions that make up the Miami visual art community. Last year, the happening was a great way to gather in the streets and not only support the Lotus House Shelter but support each other. In addition to the aspects of the fair that bring together the community, I was thrilled at the attendance by individuals who were experiencing contemporary art for the first time in Miami. I think this year's ArtLive will be a fabulous extension of this sentiment.
A new location highlighting both outdoor performances and indoor installations will bring a larger diversity to the content presented and I find that now exhibitors will move forward with a better understanding of what a "happening" is and strive to present an even more exciting statement for the visitors!" Exhibitor Inquiries:
Art Live 2012 presented by the Art Live Fair, LLC ("Fair") is an interactive, performance based, contemporary "art happening" and fair in which artists and exhibitors are invited to share the creative process unfolding spontaneously in every form of artistic medium and to the extent possible, engage the fairgoers in the creative process. We like to say, don't just see art, be it! We encourage artists and exhibitors alike to step outside the four walls of their galleries, institutions, residencies and studios to join us in an uplifting coming together of art and community for cause. The Fair is a non-profit contemporary art fair with admission proceeds benefiting the Lotus House Women's Shelter, providing shelter, sanctuary, education and resources to empower homeless women and children to build safe, secure lives off the streets. Artists and exhibitors are however fully entitled to keep the proceeds of the sale of their artworks.
Exhibitor Application:
Art institutions, museums, artists schools and residencies, and galleries may secure exhibition space to create and/or exhibit artwork through submission of an Exhibitor's Application that is accepted by the Fair. The Exhibitor's Application and Agreement may be downloaded from our website and submitted per the instructions provided. Applications engage the fair goers in the spontaneous creation of art or the creative process unfolding "live" will be given preference.
Please note, the Fair is committed to a child friendly environment during the daytime hours (11am-6pm) of the Fair but works that are edgier may be considered for evening hours (6pm-10pm) on Friday and Saturday nights.
