Art Live 2012 is an interactive, performance based, contemporary "art happening" and fair in which artists and exhibitors are invited to share the creative process unfolding spontaneously in every form of artistic medium and to the extent possible, engage the fairgoers in the creative process. 

We like to say, don't just see art, be it! Performing artists and exhibitors alike to step outside the four walls of their galleries, institutions, residencies and studios to join us in an uplifting coming together of art and community for cause.

Admission proceeds of the fair will benefit the Lotus House Women's Shelter, providing shelter, sanctuary, education and resources to empower homeless women and children to build safe, secure lives off the streets. Want to know what an "art happening" is? An "art happening" is a fun, thought-provoking, interactive, creative art experience in which artists and fair goers come together to create works of art "live" and spontaneously. "I didn't know art could be like this!"  was the quote of an astonished participant.  "It is truly breathtaking to watch and be a part of the art," said another.  We like to say - don't just see art ~ Be It!

Artists from Miami and around the county will collaborate to create interactive art performances and works of art that engage, educate, and invite your participation in extraordinary and exciting ways! More than a fair, Art Live is a spontaneous "happening" of unprecedented artistic dimension and heart, bringing together contemporary artists and community to cause.

About Lotus House Lotus House Women's Shelter provides shelter, sanctuary and support to women and children in need. Situated in a quiet enclave in the heart of Overtown, Miami, Lotus House serves over 200 women and children each year who are homeless, whether due to domestic violence, medical or mental health issues, disabilities, loss of employment or other economic reasons. A holistic resource center and residence, Lotus House addresses the gender specific needs of homeless women with an innovative format based on principles of education and empowerment. Women and children are permitted to live free for up to a year, in a respectful, healing environment, accessing wrap-around support services and a wide range of educational, job readiness and community resources. Working in concert with Lotus Wellness Center, LLC and its community partners, Lotus House ensures access to free, holistic health and wellness services, including individual and group counseling, women's wellness exams, basic health care, eye care, dental care, health and wellness education, and alternative pathways to healing.

Job coaching and employment programs provide support, tools and resources to empower women with special needs to succeed in building a safe, secure and better way of life for themselves and their children.
